1973.5 Porsche 911 Coupe

This mid-year transition was a pivot point for Porsche. While it retains the Long Hood and slim chrome bumpers that define the classic early 911 aesthetic, it was the first to receive the Bosch K-Jetronic (CIS) Fuel Injection.

Drivability: Unlike the temperamental carburettors or the complex mechanical fuel injection (MFI) of earlier models, the CIS system in the 73.5 is famous for being reliable, starting easily in the cold, and providing smooth power delivery.  This was the final production run before the 1974 "Impact Bumper" models changed the silhouette of the 911 forever

Sepia Brown over Tan is the quintessential 1970s color palette. While Sepia was overlooked for years in favor of Guards Red, it has seen a massive resurgence in the collector market for its "period-correct" authenticity.

This car has spent its life in California and for a 911 of this era, "no rust" is the most important phrase in the description. These cars had no factory galvanization, so a lifetime in a dry climate is a massive value multiplier.

Factory Air Conditioning: A rare luxury for 1973. Even if vintage AC systems are modest by modern standards, having the factory hardware intact is a major plus for originality.

2009 Porsche 911/997.2 Carrera Coupe.

The second generation 997 received several updates and improvements. This included a new, more powerful engine thanks to the direct injection. The 3.6 Litre engine now produced 345 horsepower similar to the previous S model.  Also, the IMS bearing was eliminated, improving reliability and longevity.  Due to the new PDK transmission introduced this year,  the production of manual transmission versions was at an all time low.  This has made the manual transmission 997.2 cars very desirable.

The example offered here is very special. It has had just one local ( Palo Alto ) owner.  Supplied by Carlsen Porsche of Redwood City and driven just 58k original miles during that time.  All service was done by the dealer during the warranty period.  After the warranty expired, the service was performed by the Porsche specialist in Mountain View Ca. Finished in Racing Green Metallic with Tan interior. Comes with all the original manuals and original window sticker.

We are very proud to offer this one and happy to answer any questions you may have
